Using LT1619 as high voltage flyback converter

$

Hi,

I'd like to use the LT1619 as a flyback converter from 10V to 1200V with Iout<1mA. If Vin is too high, also lower values of Vin are acceptable.

I'm looking for an application note or a reference design to implement it in the simplest possible way.

Efficiency is not an issue.

The reason that I chose the LT1619 for this task is that I want to use a PWM signal as the enable (in the S/S pin), so also other controllers with this capability are possible, but I didn't find any alternatives.

Thanks

Hi, I'm using ADAU1777 trying to cancel noise, for some reason, I'm have some "ticking noise", i'm not sure if somthing might not be set right. anyone ever incounter anything like that?

I'm attaching a wav file recording the noise, to hear it you need to use headphones at high volume.

Thank you.

Amplifier signal analog

Hello,

I need to know if I can find a component to amplifie my analog signal (0-10V) about F=800 Hz to 20Khz. I need to amplifie my input signal by 10 thus my signal output is about 100 V (peak to peak). I don't need a great current but just my voltage output. I need to know if you have a component with the gain controlled in a class AB amplifier ? Thanks for your helps and can you give my the reference and how many it's cost. We need about 40 components.

Best regards

LT8645SEV vs LT8645SIV

What is the difference between the LT8645SEV and LT8645SIV.  I couldn't see any in the datasheet.

LT8645S Max Current over Voltage Range

The part is a max of 8Amps.  I am using it to convert a 40V supply to 37V.  Would the max current still be 8Amps in this configuration?  Will a 3V drop be workable with this part?

LTC4418 undervoltage

Hello, I am using a USB input into the LTC4418, and set the undervoltage/overvoltage resistors such that the V1 is only valid between 4.5 and 5.5V.  The problem is, when I turn on my downstream load V1 sags enough to fall below 4.5V, disabling the output.  Any ideas?  I am already using a soft-start regulator downstream.

how to transfer a decryption key via non-secure UART interface ?

Hello!

I need to flash my custom device (CPU = BF706) from an external programming device using UART boot mode.
An external device provides driver to write to flash and OTP, second stage loader (signed), application (signed and encrypted) and OTP data.

The question is: how to transfer a decryption key via non-secure UART interface ? It may be sniffed on UART lines or extracted from non-encrypted driver, second stage loader or OTP data.

LTC3110 V MID capacitance

The LTC3110 datasheet states the following:

"If using a single V SYS capacitor where balancing is not required, a capacitor of at least 100nF must be connected between V MID and PGND."

However, elsewhere it states:

"If the output is not used, a compensation capacitor of 1nF must be connected between pins V MID and PGND."

and

"Generally capacitors with equal value of at least 1nF should be connected from V CAP to V MID and from V MID to PGND if the output is unused"

Is 100nf required, or only 1nF? Also, is the capacitance just needed between V MID and PGND, or also between V CAP and V MID?

(ADV7611) Disable HDCP 1.1 features

Hi !

I am checking ADI Eval board script for ADV7611.

ADI script include this.

writeRegs(0x64, 0x40, [0x81,], [1, 8])
  # Disable HDCP 1.1 features

I couldn't find "Disable HDCP 1.1 features" at any documents.

Also I think 0x64 is KSV(Repeater) map and 0x40 is not about HDCP.

What are you doing at this setting?

Best regards

Kawa

I2C Slave Nack [ADuCM350]

I'm trying to establish communication between the ADuCM350 and another ARM Cortex M3 part that I have used many times and am familiar with. The ADuCM350 is the slave in my setup. I can use the other micro to write to the ADuCM but when I try to read from it the ADuCM NACKs the address. I'm using the following calls:

adi_I2C_SlaveTransmit(hDevice, (slaveID >> 1), pTxData, 10 )

adi_I2C_SlaveReceive(hDevice, (slaveID >> 1), rxBuff, 100, false )

Also, the only interrupt event I ever see is the STOP event. No Rx / Tx complete or other events. Is there a better example available than the limited loopback test that shows how to setup the I2C peripheral or some documentation on the API?

void i2c_initialize ( void )
{
/* Initialize I2C driver */
if (ADI_I2C_SUCCESS != adi_I2C_SlaveInit(ADI_I2C_DEVID_0, &hDevice)) {
FAIL("FAIL: adi_I2C_MasterInit");
}

/* setup a callback */
if (ADI_I2C_SUCCESS != adi_I2C_RegisterCallback(hDevice, i2c_handler, hDevice)) {
FAIL("FAIL: adi_I2C_MasterInit");
}

/* disable blocking mode... i.e., poll for completion */
if (ADI_I2C_SUCCESS != adi_I2C_SetBlockingMode(hDevice, false)) {
FAIL("FAIL: adi_I2C_SetBlockingMode");
}

/* Wait for message */
i2c_read_next();
}

Hi !

Our customer want to use ADV7611 without AUDIO.

ADI ADV7611 eval board script is this.

************************************************

0x98 0x15 0x80 Disable Tristate of Pins

0x68 0x03 0x98 DIS_I2C_ZERO_COMPR

************************************************

But our customer will use ADV7611 without AUDIO so they want to set this.

************************************************

0x98 0x15 0x90 Disable Tristate of Pins

0x68 0x03 0x10 DIS_I2C_ZERO_COMPR

************************************************

Would this cause any problem?

Can't you make a comparator with ad8009?

It made a comparator with ad8009 element. Configured as follows

.

The signal fell to negative and held the reference to negative volts.

We would like to :

Signal information.

Amplitude : 0V~-3V

Rising frequency : 50Mhz

We use ad8009 as a delay in addition to a comparator. (In the entire circuit)

However, many offsets occur. (over 3.8V / I judge that the amp is over stress)

We decided it was because we were using a lot of amp. So we've only tried one channel.

And the logic coming down is too long.(Falling time about 10ms )

We are planning to use a low current supply of ad8011 instead of ad8009.

Here's the question. Using a lot of amp to supply a lot of current can lead to a lot of offset to the output? I wonder why. All the voltage is parallel.

The second question. Can we solve the problem of noise or falling time by replacing ad8009 with ad8011? This question is linked to a SiPM . question that I have previously done.

Or, if you can't use the above amplifier as a comparator, can you recommend it? We can not use the comparator IC because the system above is already made of PCB.

Measuring Voltage on Test Sample (ADuCM350)

We're seeing some issues with our test sample breaking down as though it was seeing higher than expected voltage being applied. Currently I have the amplifier disabled and VPEAK set to 12mV so we should not be seeing high voltage. However, when I try to probe the signals I'm seeing things that don't make sense to me. First off I see no difference when I enable/disable the attenuation. Second, I'm seeing 1.2V on channel 8. I'm not sure why this is but our test samples must not experience more than 50mV or they start to become damaged. Can anyone explain why I'm seeing 1.2V excitation voltage and how to fix this?

My switching sequence is as follows (see attached also):

Step #T_MUXN_MUXP_MUXD_MUX
11188
22288
33388
44488
55588
66688
77788

Here's my circuit:

And here's a capture of what I'm seeing

Only some GPIOs work with supplied SDK

I can control Port 4, pin 0 or 1 quite well but when it comes to Port 1, Pin 5, it always goes back to high.

I am enabling the pull up, setting the output enable and input enable before pulling it high or low through the supplied functions then looking at the outputs.

Do you know why I can't set Port 1 Pin 5 to be low continuously? When I set it low, and then sense the input, it immediately reads high.

This does not happen with the other port I tested Port 4 Pin 1 or 0.

Please help me understand how to set GPIO Port 1 Pin 5 low continuously.

Thanks.

Erratic measurements with LTC2983

I am trying to build an engine monitoring system based on the LTC2983.

I used the LTC2983 demo program to generate the code to run tests.

I am using two thermocouples type K, and a diode (actually a BC547 transistor) as the reference for the "cold joint" temperature.

An Arduino Uno is driving the LTC chip.

While the LTC2983 is operational, the readings I am getting are erratic: when placed on a warm environment, temperatures do go up, but they jump around a lot. Same for low (below room temp) temperatures.

Also, it seems I need to recycle power to the Arduino/LTC2983 every now and again, or readings will tend to drift to room temp.

Below is the sequence of tests I ran to understand the behavior of the system (note that before each test there was a power recycle)

I also attached a spreadsheet that shows the data generated. On the blue tabs you can find graphs for each of the tests. The shape of these graphs should help understand what the problem is.

I am looking for ideas on how to debug this.

For all tests:

Probe A on Chan9/10
Probe B on Chan3/4
Each set of measurements is separated by a 5 sec delay (i.e., print probe A temp, voltage, probe B temp, voltage, "cold joint" temp, voltage - then 5 sec delay, and repeat).

_______________________

test 1
Probe A in freezer. Probe B at room temp.
At power up, reading seems reasonable, but after a short while, probe A starts showing room temp (close to probe B and transistor).

_______________________

test 2
Probe A brought out of freezer. Probe B at room temp; power up.

_______________________

test 3
Probe A on range burner. Probe B at room temp; power up

_______________________

For comparison, probes A and B swapped and tests repeated
Probe A has already cooled down to room temp (or almost).

_______________________

test 4
Probe B in freezer (nominal temp -20 C). Probe A at room temp.; power up

_______________________

test 5
Brought probe B out of freezer. Probe A at room temp.; power up

________________________

test 6
Probe B on burner. Probe A at room temp.

Suggestions, anyone?

Thanks in advance

T/R signal for ad9361

$

Hi,

i need to use ad9361 work for tdd mode. so that means i need to output a t/r signal for the amplifier.

i learn that ad9361 have GPO pin to toggle as t/r signal but that maybe not as what we want. so i decide to use fpga to output the t/r signal. we need to set the t/r signal when TX and unset the t/r signal when RX.

the problem is that how much the delay the fpga should impose to the t/r signal. i want to set t/r signal when the fpga start sending data to ad9361 that is when the fpga set the Tx_FRAME pin of ad9361. this is a little ealier than the signal output from antenna port, but that is no problem. the problem is when i unset the t/r signal, because there is delay in the tx chain of ad9361. the manual give an equation to compute the delay of the digital filter part, but what is the delay of the dac and analog part?
