1- What is the Temperature range of the whole ADRV9361 SoM (rather than the AD9361 by itself)

  • Commercial: 0 to +70 degrees Celsius
  • Military: -55 to +125 degrees Celsius
  • Industrial: Temperature ranges may vary by model
  • Automotive: -40 to +125 degrees Celsius

2- Where can I find the SOM documentation/Data sheets?

Thanks

Remove unknown DC offset and Add Know DC offset to AC signal

Hello,

I have a pressure sensor, which has a nominal voltage output voltage of 2.0VDC from the sensor and when pressure changes, the signal changes from 2.0VDC +/0.2V DC. So there is a 2.0V DC offset and +/-0.2V if the AC signal on top of the 2.0VDC offset, the signal frequency is 0.1Hz (I have attached a picuture (originalsignal.png)).

I have to amplify just the AC signal on top of the 2.0VDC offset by 5 times but keep the DC offset to 2.0VDC, which i can do it by a differential amplifer by connecting the inverting pin to the signal and non inverting pin to 2.0V reference signal and add a reference voltage of 2.0VDC on the inverting pin to get  (3.0V positive peak and 1.0V negative peak with 2.0VDC offset).

The real issue i have is, my 2V DC offset  on top of AC signal from the sensor may change anywhere between 2V - 1.5V, because of things happening at the reference port of the pressure sensor.

I need to have a fixed 2.0VDC offset on the output signal and just amplify the AC signal (+/0.2V AC signal), no matter where my DC offset on the input signal  (DC offset may change from 2V DC - 1.5V DC). So i has an idea of if i can build a Differential amplifier with reference of 2.0V on the non-inverting pin, so i get the error signal (DC offset error of 0.2VDC when the offset of the sensor signal is 0.8V) and if i know what the error is, i can add it back to the signal source using Opamp Adder. But the problem is that, i will have +/-0.2V AC signal on top of 0.2V DC offset.

I need a constant 0.2VDC error voltage to add it back to the 1.8VDC offset +/- 0.2V AC signal, so that i can have a constant DC offset of 2.0VDC. (I have attached a LTspice simulation file for reference)

I have tried a high pass filter, but the problem is my roll of frequency of 0.1Hz. At this low frequency, there is a huge signal phase shift on the output signal (nature of a filter) and my design cannot afford any signal distortion or phase shift because of the application.

I would really appreciate your help and ideas.

Thanks,

Raj kenika.

We’ve run into some issues with the latest SigmaStudio Beta (3.15.2). When we compile code with the ADAU1777 we find that we can only use 30 of the 32 available slots. Can you look into this on your side?

Assistance on the FFT in the NoOS AD9361 project

$

Hello,

In my project I get the samples (in time domain) from the receiver SDR AD9364 and I want to perform an FFT on it. So I downloaded the following projects:

https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/no-OS/ + Analog Devices Inc. HDL libraries and projects (hdl 2016r2)

https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/58582.html

and I have run them separately with success. Afterwards I have inserted the FFT project and in particular the FFT and DMA blocks in the no-OS project, updating both FPGA block diagram (attached figure) and SDK project.

In this case the FFT is not performed and using the debug view would seem that the problems are the interrupts. In particular, the application doesn’t enter in the mm2s_isr(void* CallbackRef) and then enters in the s2mm_isr(void* CallbackRef) but the irq_status:

// Read pending interrupts

irq_status = XAxiDma_IntrGetIrq(p_dma_inst, XAXIDMA_DMA_TO_DEVICE);

is equal to zero and therefore the application remains blocked in the dma_accel_xfer function, because the g_mm2s_done flag remains to zero in the infinite loop. Attached .rar file contains the sdk No-OS project folder (with the source files).

I don’t understand the reasons because the added blocks don’t interact with Analog AD9361 blocks but they are linked to the Zynq like in the original project (https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/58582.html).

Could you help me ? I don't know if I'm missing some steps or configurations.

Thank you, L.A.

What is the performance of AD9280 if the supply voltage is 5.75V?

The AD9280 datasheet specifies the operating range as 2.7V to 5.5V. Is there any way to know what happens/what is the performance of AD9280 if it is supplied with 5.75, which is still well below the absolute maximum and little above the operational maximum?

Power supplies design of AD9208BBPZ-3000

Hi,

My customer is designing a power circuit for AD9208BBPZ-3000.

The recommanded power voltages for AD9208 are shown in the table below.

However, AD9208 evaluation board schematic in ADI web supplied 1.8V for AVDD2, DRVDD2 and SPIVDD.

  1. Could customer use 1.8V for AVDD2, DRVDD2 and SPIVDD ?

  2. ADP151 LDO was recommanded for DRVDD and SPIVDD in AD9208 datasheet.

      But, the ADP151 is fixed voltage LDO and I could not find ADP151 LDO for 1.9V in ordering guide.

      Why did you recommand the ADP151 for 1.9V ?

  3. How should customer design the power supplies for the best performance of AD9208 ?

Thanks in advance.

AD9690 IBIS-AMI Package model

Hello ADI support team,

I need to perform Signal Integrity analysis for a high speed ADC (i.e. AD9694).

I have been told that the IBIS-AMI model for this part is not available.  To overcome this problem, I am trying to use the AD9690 IBIS-AMI model.  For my application, The SERDES link speed is 6.400Gbps.

In the IBIS-AMI documentation provided, I have difficulty to understand exactly how the ports are mapped for the AD9690_Package_Model.s15p touchstone file.

Would it be possible to provide the exact mapping in order to determine how each SERDES lanes (p/n) of the IC are assigned to the model.

Thanks for your support.

Hi,

We are using  AD9681 with HSC-ADC-EVALDZ.

Is it possible to measure phase difference between all 8 analog inputs and how to do it?

Maybe, you have FPGA code enabled us to get samples all 8 analog inputs simultaneouslyfor this purpose?

Thank you.

ADAS1000 PACE Problem

   hello ,I do a Project about monitor ECG.In one case ,I use ADAS1000 for 3/5 lead monitor,I test PACE meet the

EC13 or YY1079 requirements .it Can be satisfied 0.1 ms to 2 ms,± 2 mV to ± 700 mV.but in another case,

I use ADAS1000+ADAS1000-2 to make 12 lead mode,the same PACE Register configuration,but

when pace width is 0.1ms ,it can test the height ± 700 mV, when the pace width is 2ms ,it can only test

the height ±20 mV almost,the higher can not detect the pace mark.So ,I do not know if there is any difrrence

about the two cases of use.this is my PACE Register configuration:

ADAS1000WriteRegister(ADAS1000_MODE_MASTER,ADAS1000_PACECTL, 0x00000F8F);
ADAS1000WriteRegister(ADAS1000_MODE_MASTER,ADAS1000_PACEAMPTH, 0x00242424);
ADAS1000WriteRegister(ADAS1000_MODE_MASTER,ADAS1000_PACEEDGETH, 0x00000000);
ADAS1000WriteRegister(ADAS1000_MODE_MASTER,ADAS1000_PACELVLTH, 0x000C0C0C);

   please give me some suggestion.

   Thank you very muck.

ADXL355 Self test and life expectancy

Hi
I have a question about the ADXL 355 self test.
We have plans to do self-tests frequently, does self-testing do not compromise MEMS's lifetime?
Or, is it the same degree of impact I will self-test the MEMS as exposing the MEMS to gravity?

Hi !

Q1)

Our customer want to know the supply current.

I already asked about this and you gave me ADuM142's spread sheet.

(ADuM140)Supply current with OOK.

Can you give me the same thing for ADuM140?

Q2)

Also , ADI's newest iCoupler series is very difficult to calculate the supply power.

Do you have any plan to update the datasheet or make a new application note for this?

Best regards

Changing dc offset when ADAU7002 clock is interrupted

$

Hi

We are using ADAU7002 with INMP621 microphones. Occasionally we have found an unusual DC offset introduced. We've also found that the condition can be forced to happen by interrupting the clock signal briefly.

The data is serialised with a number of other microphones using an Altera device. I do not know enough about that process to know if that could introduce the problem - that is a possibility that we are discussing.

Are there any know issues that could cause this? We have noticed a DC offset is normal (around 3%) but when this situation occurs there can be many different offsets (thinking about that, perhaps that suggests the serialiser?).

Measuring magnetic field (-10000 to +5000 Gauss) using AD22151

$

I made a magnetic field module using the AD22151 sensor based on the bipolar configuration in the datasheet. The sensitivity S is determined by R3 and R2. Theoretically speaking, my sensor module should be able to measure -8000 to +8000 Gauss.

However, when I measured the magnetic field over a hard magnet, the output voltage easily got to 4.69 V which is the maximum output of the sensor. I measured the same magnet using a Gaussmeter, the reading is 3300 Gauss. Do I misunderstand the gain equation given by the datasheet?

Someone asked questions about AD22151 in the forum. The answer said the sensor could only measure -2500 to +2500 Gauss in bipolar configuration and 0 to +5000 Gauss in the unipolar configuration. If this is true, then it may answer my question. But the thing is that the datasheet shows that the magnetic flux density that can be measured is Unlimited which is different from what was answered in the forum.

If the sensor has a limitation on the measured flux density, is there any other magnetic field sensor that has a larger range of measurement?

Comparison of ADXRS 450 and ADXRS 290

$

My customers are planning dead-reckoning by gyroscope.
And we are comparing ADXRS450 and ADXRS290.

ADXRS450 Sensitivity 80 LSB / ° / sec, Offset ± 3 ° / sec
ADXRS290 sensitivity 200 LSB / ° / sec, offset ± 9 ° / sec

We are trying to cancel offsets by calibration.
That seems ADXS290 is better.

However, ADXRS290 is a device for "Wearable products" use.
I think the ADXRS450 is superior for industrial applications because the ADXR 450 is a device for "Rotation sensing industrial and instrumentation" use.

What is the performance point of the ADXRS450's superiority?
Is the "SHOCK AND VIBRATION IMMUNITY" of the ADXS450 superior to the ADXR 290?

Best regards

Switching spike on ADG732

Hi,

I am using part #:ADG732. I have connected the input of the mux to a current pulse (+/-100uA). The outputs are each connected to 10Kohm resistors, which are the connected to ground. I use a microcontroller (MSP430) to control the select lines of the mux. The signals generated by the microcontroller are directly connected to the select lines of the mux.

When I look at the output of the mux on the oscilloscope across the 10kohm resistors, I see spikes every time I switch on and off from that channel

I have attached an output signal across the 10kOhm resistor from one channel of the mux. It shows a spike occurring every time I switch on and off to and from this channel. I have also zoomed in on the spike and attached a photo of that as well.

Do you have any idea why is spike is occuring and how I can remove it?

Thank you,
