Transceiver Evaluation software problem

Hello,After installing the software for AD9375 (AD9371 Transceiver evaluation software) from the website and burning the SD card with the AD9371 Image , when i'm trying to connect with the software it gives the following massage: "Platform problem:please disconnect other applications that uses the Command server"

in order to fix that probelm i took the following steps:

- burn another SDCARD

- try the small cell software

- check another EVB

-try to connect directly with LAN

-remove the software and reinstall.

Note: Putty connection to the ZYINQ is ok.  the IP wasn't with the right subnet and i had to change it with the following command every time that i want to connect with the software : "ifconfig eth0 10.53.3.208 netmask 255.255.254.0"

i also checked to see that there is a ping between the computer and the Board and it seems to be OK.

Simple audio in-out code for the ADSP-BF706 EZ-KIT

I have an audio in-out program in C for the ADSP-BF706 EZ-KIT mini, about 80 lines in length. It's simple and very easy to understand. It's also completely self-contained - it doesn't use any of the header files that the "TalkThrough_BF706Mini.c" program uses (supplied with the kit). It includes a basic TWI driver, SPORT0 set up and configuration routine for the on board codec (ADAU1761). With some simple modifications it can be used for filtering, both FIR and IIR. The file is attached. All welcome to use free.

AD536A Spice problem

I am using AD536A in LTSpice simulation. I saw the waveform aplitude results coming correctly but the time it takes to settle does not match with what datasheet specifies.

I am using 0.033 uF as Cav. According to datasheet I should have got around 30 ms settling time when changing from 1 Vrms to 2 Vrms step input but getting around 200 ms time response.

Is there any problem with model ?

I am enclosing the circuit for checking. Can someone from AD verify this circuit and let me know the problem?

Input is sine wave with 1600 Hz.

AD9371 supply sequencing - page 56 of D/Sheet

As per page 56 of the datasheet pasted below, if not sequenced ideally,

  1. Are the undesired power currents damaging to the device? What sort of level are they likely to be?
  2. What are the consequence of an error in sequencing?
  3. Are the same consequences likely on erroneous power-down sequence (in case of fault on a rail etc)?

We can use PG's and Track pins on DC-DC but would like to understand the consequences. If the undesired power currents flow for a while are there thermal implications? Parasitic diode between rail failures possible etc?

Also - if used in RX mode only, what are the needs for the 1V8 supplies on VDDA_IF and VDDA_1P8.

It looks like VDDA_1P8 is not needed if there is no TX used?

AD9144-FMC-EBZ

Having a little trouble getting the SPI interface working on the AD9144-FMC-EBZ (13045 Rev B) board. The board is connected to a Xilinx KCU105 via the FMC HPC connector. Oddly, I'm seeing a ~76MHz signal clock on the SPI. It's pretty far from square. I'm using a Xilinx AXI Quad Spi core with ext_spi_clk input of 100MHz and frequency divider of 64 which should yield an on the wire SPI clock of  1.5625MHz.

I've driven the FMC_SPI_EN line (P1.D12) high following the inference on the schematics- "FMC_SPI_EN WILL NEED TO BE SAMPLED AS ANALOG, SINCE IT MAY BE AS LOW AS 1.2v LOGIC HIGH"    which appears next to the onboard PIC micro. On the KCU105 this connection traces back to Bank 66 pin K13 which is running at 1.8V.

Nothing is connected to USB port.

The I2C interface works although produces what looks like non-compliant FRU info, and the board is receiving VADJ at 1.8V.

I can't get the SPI interface to return anything other than 0x00. Any thing special about using this particular board as an FMC board? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Otto

LTC4353 Permits reverse current

Hello,

We are using a circuit where it gets Power from two supplies and have implemented LTC4353 for reverse current protection. Such that one of the Source(Battery) does not get loaded.

We found issues that the mosfet M1 and M2 ( We used different mosfets instead of Si4126DY used in datasheet ) both are getting Switched ON at some conditions when Only ONE power supply is present allowing for reverse current.

Please find the attachment of How it is working for us.

LTC4353 Circuit also allows Current sharing when both Supply's difference vary in mv considering that the

Mosfet has Body diode. But this is okay for us.

please provide us solution.

Raj.

Very precise 54V DC power supply

I need to build a very stable DC power supply with a variable output (51 to 56 VDC) at a very low current output ( 100 mA). But the driff and stability needs to be very less than 5 mV. The circuit will not be operating in very significant temperature changes. Which of the many Linear voltage reference should I be considering for this application?

I d need to output +24.5V and -24.5V from the LTM8049.

The 24.5V output works fine but the -24.5V one is totally inoperative. All what I get is -6.8 V when setting up -24.5 V.

294 kOhms is my resistance to set the voltage and 53k6 my resistance to set frequency.

any advice ?

ADXL355, SPI - cannot write registers

$

I have a ADXL355 EVAL wired up to the SPI B bus on my MPC565 processor board. Registers reads work fine but writes don't stick. I have verified against the datasheet with a scope (A7-A0 and R/~W in the first 8 bits). I have tried SCLK active low and data driven on leading edge as well as SCLK active high with data driven on trailing edge. Clock is 2MHz.

Write 0x52 to 0x2F to reset ( I cannot actually know if this has any affect)

Write to 0x04 to 0x2D to take chip out of standby and disable DRDY.

Read 0x2D to verify previous setting - never changes from default 0x01, neither with immediate read-back nor after waiting several seconds to read-back.

I believe reads are working because 0x29 returns 0x60 and 0x2C returns 0x81. Chip ID registers (0-3) also return expected values.

The EVAL board has a jumper on a header named STBY but pin 2 on that header is connected to a RESERVED pin (7) on the ADXL355. The part behaves the same way for either jumper position.

I must be doing something silly but I haven't found it. Any guesses?

LTC4011

Hi

I have a question LTC4011.

1,

Disconnecting the battery during charging will result in the following operation.
Is there not a problem?
The thermostat (70 ° C ± 5 ° C) is built in the battery, and it is confirmed just in case.

• The CHRG and READY LEDs keep on lighting.
Duty of TGATE increases.
· BGATE is Low
· The BATT terminal has almost the same potential as DCIN

2,

Three rechargeable batteries and charging circuits are used in parallel.
If only one battery is installed, 1 V to 1.5 V will be applied to VCC of other circuits due to diode leakage current.
The power supply of the LED is supplied from another circuit, and the READY LED lights weakly.
Is there any problem with the above conditions?

Best Regards

LTC6957 - Help with buffer/level shifting

$

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to pass terminated trigger signal from an FPGA to a GaN FET driver (LMG1020).  The FPGA can produce a single ended 1.8V signal or a 1.8V LVDS signal (Xilinx documentation says this bank @1.8V can do LVDS) that will go to the LMG1020.  Because this signal will be terminated, the signal will only have a magnitude of 0.9V (for the single ended version) so I need a buffer/level shifter to drive the FET driver (LMG1020).  The V_IH (input high voltage) max threshold for the fet driver (LMG1020) says 2.6V so I believe I need to drive the FET driver input to 2.6V or higher.

I have found an LTC (which is now ADI) part which looks like it might be able to do this.  The LTC6957 looks like it can receive the 0.9V input and convert it to an LVDS or CMOS output.

So, my questions are:

1. With a 50kHz or slower trigger could I use the LTC6957 to do this?  My trigger may range from single manual pulses (a few times a second or once a second) to 50kHz.  Is there a concern with using a signal this slow?  The part seems to be designed for clocks.

2.  Does it make sense to drive this with a single ended 1.8V terminated or would LVDS be better?

2a.  Should the trace from FPGA to LTC6957 be terminated with 50ohm or 100ohm or something different?

3. What exactly does the CMOS output mean?

Any guidance would be helpful as this is somewhat unfamiliar territory for me.  I've attached a basic block diagram of what my architecture looks like.

Sudden drift in ADIS16480 quaternion output

$

I am using an ADIS16480 for state estimation. I get occasional fast rotations in the sensor's quaternion and gyro output. The accelerometer output is normal. This happens even when the system is sitting completely still. Also, the EKF divergence system error flag is set quite often during nominal motions ( less than 2 g's linear and 100 dps angular). I can also trigger a divergence by applying a shock input to the system by banging it with my hand.

The sensor is configured to run at full speed (0 decimation) with magnetometer disabled.

My FNCTIO_CTRL register is 0xCE9

My EKF_CNFG register is 0x08

I attached a CSV of the anomaly happening and the output of the IMU in this configuration.

The EKF divergence flag is not set when the system is sitting still which was the case in my file "imu error still.csv"

I will have a SPI dump of my sensor initialization and periodic read transactions soon.

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

LT3840 minimum output current

What is the minimum output current the LT3840 can regulate with a 2m ohm sense resistor?  From the current regulation specs in the datasheet I see that the avg current limit sense voltage can vary up to +/- 2.5mV from typical.  I assume this is due to cumulative error in the current sense and gm amplifier path.  Does this imply that for accurate current control the differential input voltage range should be in the range of 2.5mV to 47.5mv or (1.25A to 23.75A)?

ADXL372 FIFO Read Problem

$

Hi,

I am just getting started with using ADXL372 IC. I am currently facing few issues getting it to work according to my requirements.

I am using an EVAL-ADXL372Z development module along with an ATSAMD21G18 microcontroller with an Arduino core to get of ADXL372. I started off with the ADXL example code mentioned here. I was able to get that working.

I am planning to use ADXL to measure an impact force for my experiments. My requirement is to set ADXL372 in a low power mode till the time an impact occurs(Wake up or Instant ON mode), I need to analyse the data of the impact. For this, I need to store the data in the FIFO(360 samples after the impact and 150 samples after the impact).

I modified the example code, to match the above requirements.

  • Configured FIFO to be in Triggered mode.
  • Operation mode was set to Instant On Mode
  • Configured the INT1 pin to trigger HIGH when FIFO is full(360 samples)
  • Getting the FIFO data and display it on Serial port

I have attached the code which I am using.

What seems to be happening is that ADXL_INT1_PIN is always getting triggered always and not specifically at an impact exceeding the low threshold(like it should in the Instant On mode)

Please Note that in the code I modified the INT1, INT2, CS Pins to suit my development board.

Can someone help me with this problem? I maybe making some mistake in my code.

Hello

I'm desperate, I'm trying to get my own ADAU 1701 board working. From the voltage everything seems to fit.

But i can't program The EEPROM. My schematic is on the attatchment. is there just a simple fault ?

I am using the freeUSBi + EZ-USB interface. In SigmaStudio i choosed the setup on the attatchment. The Link Compile Download funktion isnt working. I have gained experience with the SureDSP there everything has worked.

Thank you in advance
