I'm trying to configure the ADV7619's equalizer as advised by the "Register settings recommendations" document.
We can find in this document the following settings :
(A) For TMDS frequencies 27MHz and below following settings are required
- 68 85 11 ; ADI recommended writes (27MHz and below)
- 68 86 9B ; ADI recommended writes
- 68 9B 03 ; ADI recommended writes
(B) When change the TMDS frequency from 27MHz to above 27MHz, under register setting are needed.
- 68 85 10 ; ADI recommended writes (above 27MHz)
- 68 9C 80 ; ADI recommended writes
- 68 9C C0 ; ADI recommended writes
- 68 9C 00 ; ADI recommended writes
(C) For TMDS frequencies above 27MHz following settings are required
- 68 85 10 ; ADI recommended writes (above 27MHz)
- 68 86 9B ; ADI recommended writes
- 68 9B 03 ; ADI recommended writes
I don't understand exactly under which conditions I should do B and C, and if the order matters.
For now, when I switch to a > 27 MHz frequency, I do B then C. When switching back to 27 MHz, I just do A.
The reception still works, but we have no way to tell that the equalizer's configuration actually is optimal.
