Hi Mems Experts,
Our customer who is using the ADIS16305 dropped one of his boards on the floor. Afterwards, he noted that there was a significant shift in the gyro offset. Where the Gyro offset was previously -100, the Gyro is apparently now reading 0.2.
Is this type of offset normal after a significant shock? The datasheet notes a survivability shock specification of 2000G but of course this doesn’t guarantee any specific maximum offset shift for a given shock rating. Will it be difficult to restore the device to calibration?
Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Quenton
